Allen & Heath DX012

The Allen & Heath DX012 serves as the core digital processing unit for professional audio systems, providing flexible 12-input, 12-output audio routing and processing capabilities. This 1U rack-mounted digital processor integrates high-quality A/D and D/A conversion, powerful DSP processing engine, professional-grade filters, and dynamics processors, delivering precise audio control and optimization for medium-to-large audio systems. The DX012 is particularly suited for permanent installations, live performances, and studio applications, with its intuitive software interface enabling audio engineers to rapidly establish complex audio processing architectures.

Built-in professional tools including EQ, compressor, limiter, delay, and crossover, combined with flexible input/output matrix routing, allow a single device to accomplish audio processing tasks that previously required multiple units. Supporting both AES/EBU digital audio and analog audio formats, it seamlessly integrates with various professional audio equipment.

Main Features

And then imagine if you had a sound system where you could send any of the 12 inputs to any of the 12 outputs. This audio matrix is exactly that.

**What it is:**

It’s a box that brings in 12 analog audio signals (using XLR or TRS connectors) and sends out 12 analog audio signals (using XLR). It also has AES/EBU digital audio input and output. The neat thing is, you choose where each output signal goes. It puts you in complete control of your audio routing.

**Inside, it's smart:**

It relies on a dedicated digital signal processor (DSP) that handles all the heavy work. It's capable of very accurate audio processing, thanks in part to 32-bit floating-point math. This gives really clear sound. Also, the delay is super low (less than 2.5ms), so it's all happening in closer to real-time. You also receive parametric EQ and filters for tone shaping, and multiband dynamics processors for dynamic control.

**Sound Shaping Tools:**

It's got all you need to modulate your audio. This includes:

* 31-band graphic EQs for level control.

* 8-band parametric equalizer for superior customization and frequency control.

* Compressors, Balancers, and Gates for dynamic control.

* Adjustable delay and phase reverse for clock correction.

**Control and Hookups:**

This system can be managed in several ways:

* Hook the QFT-110B QFT-111B up to your network and control it remotely through Ethernet.

* It can communicate with other devices via RS-232 serial port.

* Basic control functions can be triggered through GPIO contact closures.

* There's a piece of software for your PC or Mac that makes managing everything a breeze.
